The objective of this TAA is to address the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs/MSMEs) in Indonesia in benefiting from trade agreements and meeting sustainability standards to access global markets. Indonesia’s recent trade growth and negotiations for free trade agreements, including with Canada, have created opportunities, but SMEs/MSMEs lack awareness and understanding of trade agreements and sustainability standards. To tackle this issue, the Business & Export Development Organization of Indonesia (BEDO) and Parahyangan University (UNPAR) have developed training tools on sustainability standards tailored to small businesses. The TAA aims to refine these tools and train Business Support Organizations (BSOs) to deliver this training, ultimately raising awareness and improving SMEs/MSMEs’ ability to participate in international trade.
