Training to strengthen the regulatory system(2.1)

This TA Activity increased the skills and knowledge of the Information and Notification Department of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Paraguay to strengthen the regulatory system in Paraguay through the introduction of Good Regulatory Practices, including conducting two Regulatory Impact Analyses (RIA). This TA included: an assessment of the existing regulatory system; updating the Guide to Good Regulatory Practices; providing advice on the drafting of technical regulations and conducting RIA; a training workshop for regulatory officials on the impact of regulatory coherence on trade; and advice to regulatory officials on the drafting of e-learning training tools. At the beneficiary’s request, the TA Request was expanded to include two Regulatory Impact Analysis pilot projects (infrared thermometers and road safety helmets).
