This TA Activity provided training on drafting FTA schedules of services and investment commitments in negative list format. The TE also provided support to the Directorate General of Services Trade in drafting schedules of commitments by negative list in five key service industries – communications, transportation, finance, health, and professional services (accounting, engineering, architecture, and legal services). Through the TA, the Directorate also gained a greater awareness of the changes in the economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with particular attention to the impacts on female employment (working hours, wages, etc.); digital transformation in services industries; and the promotion of sustainable development (fossil fuel consumption, land & water use, tourism).
